Choose a file, move the quality slider and compare the original size with the new one before you download. A quality setting between 60% and 80% usually gives a much smaller file with no difference you can see on screen. If a form asks for an image under a certain size, such as 100 KB, lower the quality step by step, or resize the image first with the image resizer — fewer pixels shrink a file faster than anything else.

Images that are already heavily compressed may not shrink further. Lower the quality, choose WebP, or make the image smaller with the image resizer.
